EITAS Mission

Developmental Disability Services of Jackson County-eitas' mission is to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families with services that respect their choices, increase their opportunities, encourage their independence, and assist their inclusion in all aspects of the community.

Michael Haseltine Scholarship Fund

In memory of Michael Haseltine, former Deputy Director of EITAS, we have created a scholarship fund open to donations year-round.  The scholarship proceeds will be used to assist college students whose major studies focus on working in the Developmental Disability field.  Annually a committee will choose scholarship recipients from those who have applied and the scholarship(s) will be awarded at the EITAS Annual Meeting in April of each year.  Donations will be matched by EITAS and the fund will be managed by the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation so that contributions can be tax deductible.
