Provides statewide healthcare support services and service coordination for children and adults with disabilities, chronic illness, and congenital disabilities, who meet both medical and financial eligibility in Jackson, Clay, Platte, and Cass counties. Offers following programs: 1) Children with Special Health Care Needs Program--can be payer of last resort for services for children birth to age 21 with certain special health care needs; 2) Healthy Children and Youth Program-Missouri's early periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment for Missouri Healthnet children birth to 21; 3) Physical Disabilities Waiver Program-provides service coordination for Home and Community Based Services to individuals with serious and complex medical needs over the age of 21.

The Regional Office is the community-based services delivery agency administered by the Department of Mental Health, Division of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Our primary mission is to provide, within the limits of available resources, a comprehensive array of services for persons with developmental disabilities living in Bates, Cass, Clay, Lafayette, Jackson, Johnson, Platte and Ray counties in Missouri. We serve as the primary access point to the system and provide assessment services, service coordination, individual habilitation planning,  purchase of prescribed services (POS), and client advocacy.
