The following agencies provide a wide variety of services to individuals with a disability and their respective families living in Jackson County.

MidAmerica Alliance For Access 

Provides information and referral services regarding agency or community resources and programs to anyone who requests them.  Services can be delivered over the phone, face-to-face, by email, and over videophone. Independent living services are also provided.

The Mayor’s Office on Disabilities for Kansas City, Missouri

This office is operated by the city of Kansas City, Missouri to help residents with disabilities and family members have greater access to city government for the purpose of voicing their concerns, raising awareness, and seeking resolution regarding disability issues.

Missouri Protection & Advocacy

MO P&A is a federally mandated system in the state of Missouri which provides protection of the rights of persons with disabilities through legally-based advocacy.

MPACT provides a wide variety of training opportunities on special education services and related topics to parents of children that receive special education services through the public school system.
