Facilities Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform various maintenance duties necessary to maintain and enhance the value and safety of the various properties owned by eitas. The position is responsible for handling service requests for repairs and improvements including plumbing, basic electrical, general carpentry, painting and any additional duties assigned. The person in this position will work along with the facilities manager and other staff to ensure all properties meet all quality maintenance standards. Other duties will include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting HVAC issues, perform on-call emergency services as required, may assist in monitoring and/or controlling maintenance inventory, and assist in the upkeep of the grounds and common areas.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A trade school degree and/or military training is preferred. One (1) to three (3) years hands-on general maintenance experience is required. Must have CFC/EPA-approved certification or must be willing to obtain within 90 days of hire date. Knowledge of OSHA Guidelines is necessary, as well as a state-issued driver’s license, current vehicle insurance and available transportation for the completion of all job duties.

Benefits Specialist

We are seeking a Benefits Specialist to provide consultation and training to staff and persons served by eitas about state and federal benefits related to employment. The training and consultation will be on Medicare and Medicare supplement insurance, Medicaid Spend Down and benefits programs. The Benefits Specialist will interact daily with individuals with developmental disabilities, families, agencies, providers, etc., providing advocacy and hands-on support to individuals and their families in applying for and maintaining eligibility for a variety of benefits.

The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, as well as a valid driver license, valid car insurance and available transportation for the completion of all job duties. At least one (1) year of previous work experience with work incentive programs related to employment for people with disabilities is required.

Certification as a Community Work Incentives Coordinator is preferred, but not required.

Level 2 Automotive Technician

We are seeking a full-time Level 2 Automotive Technician to perform a variety of basic to intermediate diagnostic, preventative maintenance and repair work on our Transportation Services fleet, as well as vehicles operated by eitas-funded agencies. This position will use electronic diagnostic equipment and traditional hand tools, along with acquired knowledge to inspect, repair and maintain vehicles. Work is performed on automotive/light and medium truck systems in accordance with the preventative maintenance schedule.

The position requires at minimum: A high school diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years of previous automotive/light and medium duty truck/van repair and diagnostic experience or equivalent training; a CDL and good driving record; and a Missouri Motor Vehicle Inspection License or the ability to obtain one.

Support Coordinators

We are seeking Support Coordinators to provide targeted case management services, within a person-centered support and planning framework, for persons with developmental disabilities. For a caseload of approximately 40 people, under the TCM program, support coordinators are responsible for ensuring that individuals receiving supports have access to and receive services that meet their needs. This position will be also responsible for monitoring the effectiveness of the services and supports being given.

Support Coordinators will possess core competencies such as disability values and knowledge to understand and articulate the philosophies and  practices related to support individuals with disabilities; self awareness to recognize and respond to any personal or professional values or behavior that may interfere with the ability to provide supports in an ethical, unbiased, and culturally competent manner; professionalism to develop and utilize personal and professional skills in a responsible and responsive manner; and engagement to maintain a relationship with the individual and their team.

The position requires one of the following qualifications: a registered nurse license or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

Drivers

We are currently seeking experienced full-time Drivers to transport adults with developmental disabilities. Hours are similar to school bus drivers (split-shift days), but we run YEAR- ROUND!

Qualified applicants must have:

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • CDL

  • good driving record

  • and previous commercial driving experience

We offer $13.56/hr to start. Pre-employment drug & alcohol screening required.
