Associate Director of Community Services

As a recognized leader of intellectual and developmental disability services and programs in Jackson County and Missouri, eitas provides and funds a diverse range of services for persons supported to increase opportunities and inclusion for them in all aspects of our communities.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Director of Community Services will join a team of dynamic, innovative and dedicated IDD professionals who are committed to going above and beyond. This position supervises Targeted Case Management services and related activities of the Support Coordination Department and Community Outreach Services Department. Community Services is a large and complex department with eight (8) subordinate supervisors and 65 staff that serve 2,000 TCM clients. The Associate Director leads and oversees these areas through recruitment, development and retention of high-caliber team members. Collaborates with staff, administration and other departments to identify and communicate opportunities to improve services, processes and outcomes in a fiscally responsible manner. Improves efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of services. Identifies and achieves optimal targeted financial outcomes via all case management processes through the collection, analysis and reporting of quantitative and qualitative data as it relates to utilization management and support coordination activities. Makes data-driven decisions and implements performance improvement strategies. Assures compliance with all local, state, and federal regulatory standards. Essential Job Functions

  • Work cooperatively with the Executive Director, members of the management team and subordinate supervisors in meeting the mission and vision of eitas and the Board of Directors.

  • Assist the Executive Director and Associate Director of Administrative Services in development of the annual community services budget.

  • Provide positive leadership to subordinate supervisors and staff; promote teamwork; achieve program, financial, organizational and service goals.

  • Insure that all services provided or funded are in compliance with requirements established by eitas or regulatory entities.

  • Participate in quality improvement, risk management, and utilization management activities as required.

  • Work cooperatively with the Executive Director on budgeting and financial issues, productivity, billing, grant management, HR matters, staff training, public relations and service issues.

  • Interact with State, regional and local DD and social services organizations as needed.

  • Provide comprehensive reports and monitoring of information and data concerning all department activities.

  • Insure that all department staff achieves eitas’ established productivity and efficiency goals.

  • Assist and ensure that subordinate supervisors develop, refine and review policies and procedures related to all activities of their programs.

  • Serve as a member of the Management Team and other committees, task forces and work groups as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in social work, special education, human services, psychology, or related field or equivalent. A Master’s degree is preferred. Five (5) years of direct experience working in the developmental disability field with at least three (3) years of demonstrated progressive developmental disability supervisory experience. Experience in direct provision and supervision of targeted case management services is required. Quality Assurance Specialist

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to provide quality assurance to the Support Coordination Department, ensure that support coordination records meet the Centers for Medicare and  Medicaid Services (CMS) Waiver Assurances, as well as established eitas guidelines, and help to ensure the accuracy and integrity of eitas Medicaid billing.

The successful candidate will have one (1) or more years of professional experience as a registered nurse in social work, special education, psychology, counseling, vocational rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy or a closely related area, or in providing direct care to people with developmental disabilities; and a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 24 semester credit hours or 36 quarter credit hours  in one or a combination of human services field specialties; and knowledge of and experience with CMS Waiver Assurances. Previous experience in a quality assurance role is preferred.

Records Clerk

We are currently seeking a full-time Records Clerk for our Administrative Office. The Records Clerk is responsible for coordinating all service and support records for all who receive support coordination through eitas. The Records Clerk maintains and updates specific databases, compiles and assembles records in a standard order electronically, reviews files for completeness, and tracks the release and return of records requested internally and externally.  The Records Clerk may also provide relief to the receptionist as needed. This is a highly responsible position requiring considerable professionalism, organizational skills and customer service skills.

The qualified candidate will have a High School diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of one (1) year of previous filing experience and at least one (1) year previous experience with computer applications, especially MS Excel, Access and Outlook. Lube Technician

We are currently seeking a full-time/entry-level Lube Technician to perform mechanical lube and tire service for eitas, our transportation division fleet, as well as vehicles operated by eitas-funded agencies. We are looking for an individual desiring a long-term career in automotive maintenance. The candidate should be willing to learn additional mechanical skills under the guidance of the shop supervisor and the lead automotive technician in a fast-paced environment. The duties will include, but not limited to, routine oil and filter services, chassis lubrication, tire rotations, windshield blade replacement, preventative maintenance fluid flushes, and assisting the senior technician as needed. Ability to perform additional duties assigned by the shop supervisor is necessary.

The qualified applicant will have a high school diploma or equivalent; some automotive knowledge or automotive courses in high school; or training from an automotive trade institute is a plus. Basic hand tools knowledge is also a plus.

We are currently seeking experienced full-time Drivers to transport adults with developmental disabilities. Hours are similar to school bus drivers (split-shift days), but we run YEAR- ROUND!

Qualified applicants must have:

  • HS Diploma or GED;

  • CDL;

  • good driving record;

  • and previous commercial driving experience.

We offer $13.56/hr to start. Pre-employment drug & alcohol screening required.
