Support Coordination Supervisor

Eitas currently has a full-time opening for a Support Coordination Supervisor to provide direct supervision to Support Coordinators. The Support Coordination Supervisor will supervise an assigned team of support coordinators and help ensure a high quality, integrated approach to service coordination for persons with developmental disabilities served within EITAS.

Pay range for starting salary: $60,000 annually, based on experience. Plus, a generous benefit package!

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation, Psychology, Special Education or closely related field (Master’s Degree preferred); at least four years experience in providing support coordination for persons with developmental disabilities; three years supervisory experience with at least two years of direct support coordination supervisory experience; knowledge of Medicaid billing and Targeted Case Management services as defined by Medicaid; and familiarity with the principles of person centered planning and implementation. A comparable combination of education and supervisory training will be considered in lieu of actual supervisory experience.

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Work collaboratively with Support Coordination Department Management and other Support Coordination Supervisors to ensure a high quality, integrated approach to support coordination for persons with developmental disabilities served by EITAS

  • Work cooperatively with Support Coordination Management and other Support Coordination Supervisors in the development, review, update and implementation of service coordination policies and procedures

  • Directly supervise an assigned team of Support Coordinators

  • Ensure support coordinator billing logs meet Medicaid documentation requirements

  • Work cooperatively with funding and licensing agencies including the Departments of Mental Health, Health and Senior Services, and Social Services and other over site agencies

Skills Required:

  • Considerable knowledge and experience in management and supervision, human resources and labor and employment laws

  • Considerable knowledge of a specific discipline (e.g. social work, special education, psychology, counseling, nursing, occupational therapy, etc.) related to developmental disabilities

  • Considerable knowledge of case management and service coordination methods, principles and techniques

  • Considerable knowledge of developmental disabilities represented within caseloads

  • Considerable knowledge of the type of providers and services and other community resources that are available for people with developmental disabilities

  • Working knowledge of the behavioral sciences and allied disciplines involved in the evaluation, care and training of people who have developmental disabilities

  • Working knowledge of interviewing methods, principles and techniques

  • Ability to manage a caseload of people who have developmental disabilities, monitor treatment, and maintain accurate records

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office 365 or Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Ability to collect and analyze information in making decisions concerning supports and services

  • Ability to develop a logical, feasible and practical individual plan of supports and services for people who have developmental disabilities

  • Ability to evaluate the progress of individuals and the quality of their programs

  • Ability to organize projects, prioritize workflow and complete multiple tasks accurately

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Must demonstrate ability to exercise sound judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with management, staff, and all required contacts

Working Conditions:

The person in this position will be required to interact with others in person and on the phone and be able maintain a professional demeanor as well as attention to detail in spite of interruptions.

The person in this position will be required to travel on a scheduled and non-scheduled basis throughout the local area, to agencies, programs, residences and other locations regarding the individuals supported by his/her team.

Work hours are standard but may require some evening and weekend work as needed. Regular attendance is required.
